Pick of the Litter Volunteer

SUPERVISOR: Assistant Manager, Pick of the Litter

GOAL OF POSITION: Provide assistance with sales, customer service, sorting, pricing, merchandising and cashiering.

TIME COMMITMENT: At least four hours a week for a minimum of one year. Monday to Saturday: 11am-6pm Sunday: Noon- 4pm

DUTIES: Volunteers restock shelves and assist customers and accept incoming donations. They work with staff and other volunteers to keep the store attractive. Retired retail workers, artists, craftsmen and marketing volunteers help make the store successful in its mission to financially support programs and services at PHS/SPCA. This is a good position for a volunteer that loves animals, but may not be comfortable working with animals.

TRAINING: Completion of Volunteer Orientation. Additional training will be provided by the store’s staff and volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS: Volunteers at our off site resale store work in a usually fast paced environment and are independent, creative folk. This position is open to those 16 and older.
