A series on sustainable eating and animal welfare

November 16th:  Tarah Heinzen, Staff Attorney with Food & Water Watch, will speak about how industrial livestock production impacts the environment and some of the legal, policy, and organizing strategies for holding the factory farm industry accountable.

November 30th:  Education Field Director, Janessa Olsen, from Ethical Choices Program will discuss the role of animal welfare in making informed and compassionate food choices and how the affordability of animal products is negatively reflected in the lives of billions of animals within the agriculture industry.

December 7th:  Debra Shapiro, MD and certified Plant Based Nutrition expert and Health Coach, will speak about reversible diseases associated with meat and dairy consumption, how to achieve ideal physical health through a plant-based diet, and steps to take in exploring this significant lifestyle change.
