Clerical Volunteer

SUPERVISOR: Relevant Department Supervisor

GOAL OF POSITION: Some of our most indispensable  volunteers work behind the scenes at PHS/SPCA, assisting with a variety of office and community  work.  There are many ways to help PHS/SPCA  and the animals, especially for volunteers who are unable to deal with the emotional considerations  of an animal shelter.

TIME COMMITMENT: At least eight hours a month for a minimum  of one year. Days and hours are flexible.

DUTIES: You will be typing, stuffing envelopes, collating materials, making phone calls, working with photo files, photocopying,  filing, entering  and revising data in computers, mailing educational materials to schools, and assembling media packets.

TRAINING: Completion of Volunteer Orientation.  Additional training and instructions  will be provided by relevant department personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have the ability to follow instructions and work independently; legible handwriting; typing and/or computer skills.  Must be at least 18 years of age.
