Dear Critter Corner: Since we are nearing the end of the year, I was hoping to hear about some of the most memorable adoptions for the year?
We have had so many, here are a few that stick out to me because of their time at our shelter.
Bernard – This ball of energy was a transfer from another shelter that came to us December of 2020, he was looked over by most due to his energy but in January of this year he landed the best life ever with one of our dedicated volunteers. He spent his summer on the road traveling!
Flash – This handsome guy had quiet the story, found as a stray in SSF and turned in to the shelter in June of 2021. He was reported missing from Atlanta, Georgia. Unfortunately, his owner was unable to fly him back home. He landed himself a fabulous life April of this year that took him to Nevada.
Rory – This special guy came to us in August of 2021 with about 30 other housemates. They all were extremely under socialized and he was the last of the group to be adopted in August of 2022. He lucked out and went to the home of one of our dedicated volunteers to live his best life ever!
Dan – This unique fella came to us in February of 2022. His owner was having a hard time and needed to surrender him into our care. He was over looked many times because of his energy level but he finally found his best life in November of this year.
Dorito – This gentle giant was a favorite with many volunteers and staff. He came to us as a stray in July of 2021 and took residence in his corner pod for the next year and a half. He was over looked by many, but on December 11th of this year he had his Christmas wish granted and found his forever home! He settled right in and is enjoying his new life of luxury!
There are so many more great memories that I have from all the adoptions during the year and I look forward to all the ones in the year to come! Wishing you and all your furry friends the Happiest of Holidays and a wonderful New Year!
