Unfortunately we frequently receive and treat seagulls who have negative interactions with fishing hooks and line. This is an x-ray and a photo of a Western Gull who arrived at PHS/SPCA with fishing hooks in his left wing and neck. We were able to safely remove the hooks and provide treatment.
Please help prevent these types of injuries by picking up any fishing debris if you see it.
