Between March and August we receive up to 500 Eastern Gray Squirrels! Many come in due to tree trimmers, or prematurely fall out of their nests and receive injuries from the fall. We encourage people to trim their trees in late fall and winter when trees and shrubs are dormant. It’s healthier for the trees and helps ensure occupied nests are not disturbed. Both of these baby squirrels are currently being treated and cared for at PHS/SPCA’s Wildlife Center.
