At Dog Day Mornings dogs romp and play off-leash in a supervised atmosphere every Saturday morning, rain or shine.  All dogs must be current on their vaccinations, have attended a basic obedience class and all dogs 6 months and older must be altered.

Beginner Puppy Class @ Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA
Jun 21 @ 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm

Beginner Puppy is for puppies 2-6 months old and builds a foundation for a lifetime of good habits! This class covers basic commands (sit, stay, come, leash walking), correcting behaviors like biting, chewing and jumping, and housebreaking.

Puppies must have had at least 2 DHPP vaccines to attend. If older than 5 months, a rabies vaccine is also needed.

Frequency and Duration: This is a 1 hour per week class held for 6 weeks starting June 21st from 6:15-7:15 pm.

Canine Good Citizen @ Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA

This class is designed for dogs that have graduated from a beginner group course at PHS/SPCA or another training facility.

Canine Good Citizen is a certification program for dogs with consistent good manners. The class includes greeting friendly strangers, walking on a loose leash, walking through a crowd and staying in place. Dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Frequency and Duration: This is a 1 hour per week class held for 6 weeks. Test is on week 7.*
Classes will be held May 19, May 26, June 9, June 16, June 23 and June 30.

Companion Dog Level 1 Class @ Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA

Companion Dog Level 1 is for dogs 6 months and older. Whether you’ve just adopted and want to get off on the right paw, or need a refresher, this class is for you. You will learn various hand signals and commands, such as sit, down, come, heel, stay, and leave it, and teach your dog to wait at doorways and walk politely on leash.

Frequency and Duration: This is a 1 hour per week class held for 6 weeks:  May 19, May 26, June 9, June 16, June 23 and June 30.

Bark n’ Brewfest @ West Washington Park

Join Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA on June 23rd, 2018 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at West Washington Park in Burlingame for our first ever Bark n’ Brewfest fundraiser event!  Bring your 4-legged friends for a fun-filled afternoon where local craft breweries, cider makers, and a few artisan wineries will be pouring samples of their beverages for you to enjoy.
